URGENT NOTICE FROM MAD-ADAM OF RADY COSPLAY

Alright, so here is the deal. I’m currently playing the ‘waiting game’ with a job I’ve been offered but I am literally out of money and time – I’ve paid the bills I can, but I have recently had my phone shut off due to the inability to pay it and therefore have no way for job offers to contact me.

So I’m going to start opening up commissions.

Now, I know my list of examples isn’t very big and very strong considering I stopped making costumes for a while, but I’ll be accepting prop work, armor and the like, even wig styling. If you are interested please feel free to contact me at radycosplay.tumblr.com via ask or sciencefictionmeans@live.com

If you also need examples feel free to browse through rady.cosplay.tumblr.com or sciencefictionmeans.deviantart.com ( keep in mind my deviantart has not been updated and you will have to go to the gallery tab to see what  I can do wig wise and what not. )

Payment will be through PayPal and I will need to receive payment first before I can start working on projects. Payments can be in installments and completely negotiable.

Keep in mind that if the project requires sewing I will be using quality materials so the price may be a little bit. I do want these costumes to last the test of time and wear and tear they go through at conventions, this goes the same with accessories – I mostly use foam for prop work and will not be resin casting as it is an expensive process.

Examples of Craft Foam Work

I have finally painted and cut out every single armored piece for Loki - these are the final two pieces on the shoulder plus a close shot of the detailing on one of the vambraces ( which isn’t done yet ).

I’ve had to wing a lot of the detailing since I haven’t found a single screenshot or concept of the shoulder yet that reveals the whole thing so I’m sort of just going based on the fact that there are a lot of curves and snakes on the design. That being said the painting is not done either, or the detailing. My brush has decided to fray so I can’t detail like I did on the chest pieces yet, or not until I find a more suitable brush.

More progress shots on Loki! I’m doing some detail work now on the vambraces, I’ve gotten the detailing on the chest pieces done ( the weird seatbelt piece and the collar ) so now I have that left and the shoulders. However, I don’t have clear shots of these pieces so I’m refraining but this is all of the progress I have so far. Expect more soon!

Working on patterns for Loki from The Avengers. As of right now I’m unable to start details, but I have the wrist-guards, chest decoration and now I’m working on the shoulder. So far I haven’t had good screen shots of the detail work but they do depict some aspects of Norse Mythology so I’m eager to start!

The actual parts of the outfit will probably show some progress before the end of next week with what I have.

Just doodling on a picture of myself to see how I’d make for Loki. I think I wouldn’t do that bad.
Uploading because I do what I want.

I got a red scarf/swatch of red fabric, for my closet cosplay that is turning into more than just that - slowly. The fabric isn’t nearly long enough but I can fix that with another half a yard or so. I can always use another scarf.

Also, my hair grew significantly from the last time I took a picture so I understand that it’s a bit off. However, at least I’m confident with my eyebrows. Haha.

vampirekitten: I am currently piecing together a female version of Adam Jensen and I have to say your progress shots on the arms are amazing. They are going to be so much help. Would you happen to have any suggestions on what glue to use on the fabric & craft foam, I know you mentioned trying different things or any advice for someone starting their first part of arms :)

I actually used hot glue as it helped shape the craft foam and hold it in place - however, I have not yet tried fabric glue. I would say use a combination of the both! Try to use the hot glue as a base and the fabric glue to seal the edges. Keep in mind though there is little flexibility in the way I did it, so you might want to improvise with some of it, though it may not be accurate it’s nice being able to feed yourself.

If you have any more questions do not be afraid to ask!
